Death at Apple Headquarters Was Suicide, Say Authorities

Powers say a youthful Apple worker took his own life at the organization's base camp this week.

The 25-year-old Santa Clara, California, man was discovered dead Wednesday morning inside a meeting room at Apple's reality base camp in California.

A post-mortem examination later affirmed he passed on of a self-dispensed discharge twisted to the head, Sgt. Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County sheriff's area of expertise said Thursday. She said a handgun was utilized.

Sheriff's appointees were called to the Apple grounds around 8:35am. Wednesday for a report of "a man down" and found the man dead, Urena said.

"They decided there were no different people included and they trust it was a detached episode and that there was no one else on grounds or in the general population at danger," she said. The sheriff's area of expertise gives police administrations in the town of Cupertino, where Apple is based.

In an announcement on Wednesday, Apple said its representatives were "crushed by the disastrous loss of a youthful and capable colleague." An Apple representative declined further remark Thursday.
